This policy explains when AF Academy, the training unit of Aqua Foundation, refunds course and event fees. For cancelling or transferring a seat, and for changes we make to a course, see the Cancellation Policy.
1. Before the course starts
You may ask for a refund at any time before your course starts. For a live cohort, the course starts on the published cohort start date. For a self-paced course, it starts when you first open the course content.
2. After the course starts
We do not offer refunds once a course has started. If you have started a course and believe there are exceptional circumstances, you may still write to us. Such requests are considered case by case, at the sole discretion of AF Academy and Aqua Foundation management, and a refund is not guaranteed.
3. Group, corporate and PSU bookings
Where your organisation has a signed agreement or MoU with us, its refund terms apply. Otherwise this policy applies to each seat. A seat whose participant has started the course is treated as started.
4. When we cancel or change a course
If we cancel a cohort or materially change its schedule, you may choose a full refund or a free transfer to another cohort, as described in the Cancellation Policy.
5. Free events and webinars
Free events have no charge, so no refund applies.
6. How to ask for a refund
Email support@afacademy.org from the email address on your account, with your order number and the reason for your request. We confirm receipt within 2 business days.
7. How refunds are paid
- Accepted refunds are processed within 7 business days of acceptance.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method. For online payments, the amount usually reaches your account 5 to 7 business days after we initiate the refund, depending on your bank.
- Currency conversion or bank charges applied by your bank are outside our control and are not refunded.
- When a refund is issued, access to the course and any certificate for it end.
8. Your statutory rights
This policy does not affect your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other consumer law that applies to you.
