Comprehensive Dam Safety Evaluation (CDSE)

The Dam Safety Act, 2021 has established a structured framework for surveillance, inspection, operation, maintenance and safety evaluation of specified dams in India.

A key requirement is the Comprehensive Dam Safety Evaluation (CDSE), to be undertaken through an independent panel of experts to assess the condition of the dam, reservoir and associated works.

For existing specified dams, the Act requires the first CDSE within five years of commencement of the Act, making the subject especially relevant as the statutory milestone approaches.

The Dam Safety Society is organising this focused webinar to explain how a CDSE should be planned and conducted in the right manner, with the right investigations and the right technical approach.
